What is ‘Perfect’?

God is perfect.

And we are meant to be perfect like Him. Jesus says, “..Be you therefore perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matt 5:48

Willingness to change ourselves is paramount. The only way to become perfect is to constantly change.

How? The key is prayer. It’s too big to do on our. We have to ask God to change us. Then we need to follow His lead in becoming more perfect people.

Jesus teaches us how to become perfect: to be humble, to forgive, to love. And to live in God’s will.

Humility comes when we swallow pride. It prompts us to quickly forgive, while gently nudging us to say, “I’m sorry”, ask forgiveness, and truly love.

To live in GOD’S WILL is to accept all things that come our way, good or bad, from His hand. He does not give us more than we can handle.

To FORGIVE is to love.

Courageously asking forgiveness heals wounds and brings people closer together. It calls us to the ‘perfection’ we aspire to reach.

Hearing “I’m sorry”, encourages forgiveness. But what if people don’t say they’re sorry?

It doesn’t matter if it’s a little thing or a big thing. True love ALWAYS forgives.

To LOVE is to give, to spend time with, to serve. And:

“Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely; is not puffed up; Is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never falleth away:”

All these wrap up into ‘perfect’.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
…because with God all things are possible.
